東京駅丸の内駅舎のなかにある東京ステーションホテル。駅舎の中央、その最上階にある特別な空間をご存じですか？
そこには、旅人だけが出会える、光あふれるとっておきの場所が隠されています。
ここは、ステイゲスト専用の朝食会場「アトリウム」。天井高約9m、400㎡を超える開放的な空間に朝の光がやわらかく降り注ぎ、100年前の赤レンガが静かに歴史を語ります。
戦後には一時、駅講堂として利用されましたが、その大半の年月は屋根裏として、使われず物置となっていました。「アトリウム」は、その眠っていた屋根裏空間を活用して誕生した朝食会場です。2012年のホテル再開業にあたり、文化庁の特別な許可を得て線路側一面をガラス屋根に改修。約4年半をかけて実現した、重要文化財を未来へつなぐ挑戦でもあります。
印象的な赤レンガは装飾ではなく、駅舎を支える構造レンガをあえてあらわにしたもの。中央にそびえる鉄骨も、創業当時の部材を戦後の復興時に補強材として再活用した歴史の証です。
重要文化財を「保存する」だけでなく、「使い続ける文化財」として受け継ぐ。その想いが息づくアトリウムで迎える朝は、東京ステーションホテルだからこその特別な体験です。
Hidden at the very top of Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building is a space reserved exclusively for guests of The Tokyo Station Hotel.
The Atrium, the hotel`s breakfast venue, is a light-filled sanctuary with soaring 9-meter ceilings, original red brick walls, and a glass roof that fills the space with natural morning light. Once an unused attic, it was carefully restored during the hotel`s 2012 reopening, preserving its historic character while giving new life to an Important Cultural Property.
More than a breakfast venue, The Atrium embodies The Tokyo Station Hotel`s philosophy of Living Heritage—where history is not simply preserved, but experienced every day.

Tanabata, also known as the Star Festival, is a traditional Japanese celebration held on July 7. Inspired by the legend of two lovers who are allowed to meet just once a year across the Milky Way, it is customary to write wishes on colorful strips of paper called tanzaku and hang them on bamboo branches in the hope that they will come true.
Join us in this cherished seasonal tradition and make your stay even more memorable.

Tanabata, or the Star Festival, is a cherished Japanese tradition inspired by the legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi, two lovers who are reunited across the Milky Way just once a year.
From 1–7 July, a bamboo tree for Tanabata wishes will be displayed in the Guest Lounge, The Atrium.
Why not take part in this seasonal tradition by writing your wish on a colourful paper strip and hanging it among the bamboo leaves? Whether it is a dream for the future, a heartfelt hope, or a message for someone dear, each wish becomes part of a centuries-old celebration.

🚄今日6月23日は東北新幹線の開業記念日。
1982年、大宮〜盛岡間をつなぐ〈東北の希望の列車〉が、日本の鉄道に新たな歴史を刻みました。それから40年以上。今では東京～新青森まで伸び、四季折々の風景の中を走っています。
現在、国内最速で都市を繋ぐ「はやぶさ」は2011年3月に誕生しました。
ただ速いだけじゃない、人と想いを運ぶ新幹線。かけがえのない出会いや、再会の喜び、旅立ちの勇気をのせて駆け抜けています。

In 1982, a new chapter in Japan’s railway history began as the Tohoku Shinkansen connected Omiya and Morioka—a train of hope for the Tohoku region. More than 40 years later, the line now stretches all the way to Shin-Aomori, traveling through breathtaking seasonal landscapes.
In March 2011, the Hayabusa, Japan’s fastest Shinkansen, was born—connecting cities at incredible speed.
But it`s more than just fast. It carries people and their stories: precious encounters, joyful reunions, and the courage to set out on new journeys.
